Hey Reader! Whew. Let me be real with you: last week was a whirlwind behind the scenes getting everything ready for the 2025 Homeschool Mom Summer Summit: YouTube Edition. Let’s just say… our registration signup page (the nice one where you're supposed to sign up nice and easy?) decided to throw a little technical tantrum. Every time I "fixed" it, it spazzed out again. It was supposed to be ready days ago. But finally...it’s working! *happy dance* The summit signups are officially open! This year’s summit features over 30 homeschool YouTubers sharing their best planning tips, curriculum advice, encouragement, and homeschool hacks, all in bite-sized video workshops you can binge on your own time. Something new this year with the summit are extra BONUSES you get for registering! You seriously get tons and tons of bonuses, like the Back-to-Homeschool Kit and Mama Sanity Savers bundle! You get toddler checklists, journels, activities, routines and rhythm schedules, and just so much more, all for registering! And that's just the General Admission Pass...imagine what you get with the VIP Premiere Pass! Register this week and you’ll get the exclusive Back-to-Homeschool Bonus Bundles for FREE – only available for a limited time. When is it? The event runs June 24–26, 2025, but once you’re in, you’ll get immediate access to private summit space (no Facebook required). (Sign up for the VIP Premiere Pass to get early access on June 16th – no waiting for you!) Also, we're stoked about our Keynote Speaker this year! We'll be blessed with Cindy West from Our Journey Westward for the first two days of the summit, with day 3 being a Live Panel with speakers and sponsors. Exciting! Yup, we expanded the VIP Pass this year too! With the Lifetime VIP Pass, you get everything in general PLUS all that's in VIP! ⤵️
Now, listen.... I KNOW you've hit YouTube up before to search something homeschool-related, haven't you? (If you haven't, we can't be friends and your new name is Brenda (except you, Brenda...your new name is Chartreuse. (Don’t ask, just go with it.)) And even this year, nearly a decade's worth of homeschooling – and stillll with the rollercoaster of mom guilts and doubts, by the way – I often use YT to look up different homeschool things, from planning to "how to" teaching ideas, or even curriculum reviews (always curriculum reviews). With that said, you’re going to love this year's summer summit because we’re doing something different. 🎥 This time, we brought the YouTubers to YOU. There are a ton of homeschooler YouTubers in this summit! That's what "YouTube Edition" means in the Homeschool Mom Summer Summit: YouTube Edition. Most of the speakers have active YouTube channels, offering amazing information in their own unique, incredible ways. These women (and one man!) show up on their channels with helpful tips, real-life encouragement, and creative ideas, and now, they’re showing up for YOU in the summit. There’s just something about this year’s crew. They shine. You can feel their light, their joy, their heart for homeschooling. I’m genuinely grateful to have them all in one place, gathering for something that feels really special, at none other than OUR summits! So this year's Homeschool Mom Summer Summit: YouTube Edition is going to be next-level good!
I can’t wait to see you at the summit – your comfy clothes, your favorite snacks, and your own special homeschool mom glow totally welcome. You might not be able to see that glow about you, but I do. ☺️ xo, PS: I'm especially looking forward to seeing everyone again at the summit! It's almost like a class reunion every year, seeing faces back again for another round of HMSS. Our 4th round! I love it. I wish we could get together so much more often than just the summits! (Which is why I'm thrilled about the upcoming homeschool mom club I'm launching parallel with the summit soon! You in? It's called the Homeschool Momentum™...or Mom-entum 😉 Do you like that name?) |
Hi, I’m Richie – homeschool single mama of 3! Yes, I homeschool… on purpose. I blog, I bribe my kids with snacks, and I’m a proud member of the “coffee first, questions later” club, powered by sarcasm and Jesus. If homeschooling feels a little wild, you’re in the right place. I serve up no-fluff tips, real-life resources, and the occasional eye roll at unrealistic Pinterest expectations. If you’ve ever lesson-planned at midnight with goldfish crumbs in your bed, you’re in good company. It’s my hope that you find delight in my words, treasures within my posts, and camaraderie in #momlife. Sign up below to get my ever witty slightly embarrassing yet undeniably worthy newsletters and 'freemails'!
Hey Reader! So, you might still be thinking about how to actually make homeschool work for your real life after seeing the announcement yesterday that the Homeschool Mom Summer Summit: YouTube Edition is officially open... (If you missed the details or the early registration bonus, you can check it all out [RIGHT HERE] — but don’t wait long because those special bonuses won’t be around forever!) And today, I wanted to share something with you that the homeschool moms who have already grabbed...
Hey Reader! Whew, these last few weeks at the Richie household have been a whole saga. Like, if Netflix filmed us, we’d at least get 3 seasons and a bonus Christmas special. I'm sure you can relate. I'm nearly finished with Attack on Titan (an anime), and even Daniel and Zoey (my 14 yo son and 13 yo daughter, respectivel) haven't seen it yet. My daughter thinks it's so cool that I'm the only adult / parent she knows who likes anime. Honestly? I'm just reclaiming my youth in 20-minute episodes...
Hey Reader! My youngest marches into the kitchen as if he just discovered gravity and proudly declares, "Amo means I love." I slow blink. This is the same child who once tried to spell ‘cat’ with a Q. So yes, I paused mid-coffee and stared, because clearly something magical (or suspicious) was happening. That moment confirmed what I had recently read: Latin is actually one of the best foreign languages to start with, thanks to how closely it connects with English. I’m kind of floored about...
